Can you accommodate special needs children?
Absolutely. For everyone’s best interest, please let us know ahead of time. In some cases an additional parent counselor or aide might be necessary.

Why aren’t parents in the same group as their children?
Outdoor school is an opportunity to grow for many children. We’ve found that students perform better when independent from Mom or Dad. Remind parents that they will have times to reconnect: at meals, free time, during the evening program, and in the bunkhouse (if specifically requested).

How can we celebrate a student birthday?
Coloma style! We don’t do cakes and candles, but we will acknowledge the lucky person during a town meeting or campfire. Be sure to let us know ahead of time.
